Embark on a Blocky Odyssey
Finnish indie developer Bonobo Software has officially launched Taival, an ambitious open-world co-op RPG, into Steam Early Access. Taking cues from beloved titles like Cube World, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Skyrim, Taival invites players to explore a stunning, hand-crafted world either solo or with up to three friends in a unique blend of local and online co-op.
A Journey Shared
At the heart of the experience is the ‘Henki,’ a shapeshifting companion that allows players to absorb the essence of creatures to unlock new forms and abilities. Whether you are navigating dense forests or scaling high-altitude peaks, these forms are essential for both combat and exploration. The game also introduces a unique group dialogue system, ensuring that every member of your party has a voice in critical story decisions.
Taival, which translates to ‘journey’ in Finnish, is designed to be a world you get lost in with your friends.
Key Features of Taival
- True Co-Op Freedom: Experience seamless local and online multiplayer for up to 4 players.
- Dual Progression: Manage both your character’s skills and your Henki companion’s unique morphs.
