Strategy fans, dust off your Meta Quest headsets. Guangzhou-based developer SoulFire Studio Team and publisher LingVision Games have announced that sign-ups are now open for the closed beta test of their highly anticipated mixed reality (MR) real-time strategy game, The Great Flood.
Set to begin on August 4th, 2026, and run for one to two weeks, this limited-space playtest offers VR gamers a first-hand look at the tactical, room-scale warfare coming to the platform. If you’ve been waiting for a game that transforms your actual tabletop into a battlefield for mythical deities, this is your ticket in.
Gods, Monsters, and Living Room Warfare
At its core, The Great Flood is a fast-paced MR strategy title designed for both competitive PvP and challenging PvE matches. Players engage in tense 1v1 and 2v2 battles. Before diving into the fray, you will assemble a customizable ten-unit squad selected from a massive roster of over 50 mythological characters. Your squad composition is crucial: it requires two powerful heroes—ranging from divine beings to legendary humanoid monsters—and eight specialized soldiers with unique battlefield traits.
